About EnergySmart CNY

EnergySmart CNY is a team of trusted, knowledgeable, community-based organizations in Central New York, including the Central New York Regional Planning and Development Board, Alliance for a Green Economy, Greater Syracuse Works. EnergySmart CNY is the evolution of the successful Solarize CNY and HeatSmart CNY campaigns. It is one of twelve Regional Clean Energy Hubs funded by NYSERDA across New York State which help communities and businesses navigate the programs, resources, and opportunities that are available to them. EnergySmart CNY and our partners have extensive experience in clean energy, energy efficiency, workforce and economic development, and housing. 

EnergySmart CNY connects home and building owners with the many programs available to help reduce the costs of energy efficiency upgrades—like insulation, air sealing, efficient electric heat pumps, and solar—as part of our energy system’s move towards beneficial electrification. We partner with select reputable installers to take you from awareness to education to implementation. We are making homes in our region more comfortable, more cost-effective, and better for the environment. EnergySmart CNY works with home and building owners and renters in Cayuga, Cortland, Madison, Onondaga, and Oswego Counties.
